Job summary

Equitable is seeking an experienced Regional Vice President (External Wholesaler) for Mutual Funds in the Western territory. This role is remote with up to 75% travel across CA, OR, WA, NV, ID, MT, HI and AK, requiring strong advisor relationships and sales leadership.

You’ll educate advisors on 1290 Funds and firm portfolios, build a robust sales pipeline in Salesforce, and partner with internal teams to drive growth while traveling as needed. Base salary begins at $85,000 with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional work experience.
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations active upon hire.
• FINRA Series 7 active upon hire or ability to obtain within 180 days of start date.
• Success in a previous direct sales or wholesaler role.
• Knowledge of Mutual Funds and Investment products.

Responsibilities

• Educate and train advisors on Equitable Investment Management model portfolios and 1290 Funds family of mutual funds.
• Assess and identify the needs of advisor clients to promote new products.
• Develop new producers while retaining existing producers to grow market share.
• Develop new relationships. Responsible for territory management.
• Utilize internal sales desk to assist in managing territory.
• Work with and train Internal Wholesaler to work collaboratively with RVP.
• Use Salesforce (CRM) to log activity, maintain pipeline, and analyze opportunities.
• Identify, create and implement investment sales opportunities to attain sales goals.
• Communicate with National Sales Manager on an ongoing basis.
• Manage a budget and timely expense reporting.
• Travel required 75% of time.
