Job summary

Caron Treatment Centers seeks a Regional VP of Development to drive fundraising and engagement across the region, building major gift pipelines and coordinating with the Regional Advisory Board.

The role partners with the CDO and VP to reach annual goals, manage events, and maintain donor relationships. Remote work is supported; travel within the region is expected to engage with donors, boards, and alumni.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 5–7 years of fundraising experience; major gifts and special events experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with a Board of Directors and Special Event Committees is strongly preferred.
• If in recovery, one-year continuous sobriety is preferred.
• A meaningful connection to addiction and recovery is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for advancing Caron’s fundraising and RAB engagement in the region.
• Oversees management and growth of the RAB, including meetings, agendas, and recruitment.
• Collaborates with Regional Advisory Board on regional goals aligned with strategic plan.
• Work with VP Regional Advancement and CDO to meet annual and campaign fundraising goals.
• Coordinate frequent high-level prospect meetings with the President and CEO.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects in the region.
• Collaborate with Regional Alumni Coordinator to develop new major gift prospects.
• Participate in monthly Major Gift, High Capacity and Regional Development meetings.
• Update Salesforce with notes and activity; communicate updates to Development Services Specialist.
• Lead the annual fundraiser dinner; ensure benchmarks with leadership and events team.
• Represent Caron at area events with key donors or constituents.
