Job summary

The Neurodiversity Alliance in the United States seeks a Vice President of Development to shape a bold fundraising strategy and lead a multiyear plan. You will partner closely with the CEO, Board, and executive leadership to elevate philanthropy across the organization.

This full-time, remote role will manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects and build an integrated giving program spanning annual, major, transformational, and planned gifts.

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressive nonprofit fundraising with increasing responsibility across individual giving, institutional philanthropy, and strategic partnerships.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
• Proven record securing six-figure and larger gifts.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and donor relationship skills.
• Collaborative leadership style that delegates and grows others.
• Comfort using data and technology (including Salesforce or similar CRM) to inform strategy and measure success.
• Thrives in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment with collaboration, adaptability, optimism, and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Shape the organization’s multi-year fundraising strategy and national impact.
• Serve as the CEO’s fundraising adviser and coach, guiding preparation for donor meetings.
• Develop and lead institutional and corporate fundraising initiatives with foundations and sponsors.
• Build an integrated individual giving program across annual, major, transformational, and planned gifts.
• Personally cultivate a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects and guide Board relationships.
• Provide coaching, tools, and accountability to the development team for growth.
• Lead and oversee fundraising events, campaigns, and donor engagement opportunities.
• Ensure strong proposal, reporting, renewal, and stewardship practices with funders.
