Job summary

Elmington is seeking a Regional Vice President to lead the financial and operational health of a multi-market affordable housing portfolio. You will guide Regional Managers, align strategy with ownership goals, and drive regulatory compliance across LIHTC, HUD/Section 8, and state agencies.

You will oversee budgeting, capital planning, and performance reporting, ensuring timely inspections and portfolio-wide success while traveling regularly to properties and maintaining a resident-first,

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive property management experience, including multi-site oversight in affordable housing.
• Markets served by this role's portfolio are required.
• Deep working knowledge of LIHTC, HUD/Section 8, and state housing finance agency compliance requirements.
• Proven track record managing a large, geographically dispersed portfolio and team.
• Experience with RealPage/OneSite, Yardi, or Fortress preferred.
• Certifications such as CPM, HCCP, or COS a plus.
• Fair Housing certification required within 7 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Own the financial and operational health of their portfolio, measured primarily through NOI, NRI, bad debt, management fee, and occupancy performance to budget.
• Set regional strategy in alignment with company objectives and communicate priorities down through Regional Managers.
• Review and approve annual budgets, variance explanations, and reforecasts for the region.
• Partner closely with asset management and Regional Managers on capital planning and long-term asset strategy across the portfolio.
