Job summary

Your Health in Charleston, SC is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to lead a regional volunteer and philanthropic program. The role focuses on non-clinical health drivers, mobilizing volunteers, and partnering with care teams to improve patient outcomes.

The coordinator will travel regionally, work full-time, and support care coordination with the foundation to address social needs and caregiver support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Social Work, Nonprofit Management, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in program development, community engagement, healthcare, or nonprofit leadership.
• Experience with volunteer program management and fundraising preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel within the region as needed.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and maintain a regional volunteer program aligned with Your Health’s care model.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain volunteers to support patient-centered initiatives.
• Develop structured volunteer roles that integrate into care teams and community-based services.
• Coordinate deployment of volunteers to support patients with non-clinical needs.
• Develop and execute regional fundraising strategies focused on sustainable support.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, faith-based groups, and individual donors.
• Promote ongoing partnerships that support long-term program growth.
• Represent Your Health within the community to increase awareness of services and impact.
