Remote position, may be based in any US state.

Job Summary

The Regional Vice President (RVP) of Payment Recovery Services functions as the General Manager of the assigned region, overseeing the development, planning, direction, and control of activities essential for business success in Payment Recovery Services. The RVP drives organizational objectives to ensure financial and operational success through both short-term and long-term planning and actions. They are responsible for creating an environment that engages staff, ensures quality operations and administrative processes, fosters growth, and delivers predictable financial performance. The RVP has overall responsibility for the operation and activities of their region/business unit and its results. They work within the scope of authority established by Elevate PFS while supporting and adhering to our code of ethics, business standards, mission, and core values.

The RVP acts as a change agent, focusing on results and distinguishing between activity and performance outcomes. They are results-oriented with the ability to achieve goals through others. They create a client- and patient-focused environment where employees are passionate about their roles, understand the big picture, work collaboratively, and recognize their purpose in creating a positive client/patient experience. The RVP must be proficient in fostering a team environment, developing individual talents, and being a constructive change agent. Their value proposition is based on an engaged workforce that trusts and delivers quality work, resulting in predictable operational and financial outcomes. The RVP leads organizational change to achieve results and is responsible for executing Elevate PFS’s vision and strategy.

The RVP balances the demands of a complex matrix organization, demonstrating sound judgment and decision-making skills. They serve as a mentor, creating a healthy and vibrant work environment, and provide information to relevant company leaders (e.g., HR, compliance, finance) before sharing with government agencies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term plans to achieve regional/business unit goals.
  • Achieve financial objectives (revenue and earnings) for their region/business unit.
  • Contribute to business development efforts to increase market share and expand service lines.
  • Conduct annual market assessments, identify segments, and evaluate revenue programs.
  • Collaborate with corporate departments (sales, marketing, finance, client engagement) to develop expansion plans and new revenue ventures.
  • Continuously improve operational and administrative processes for better financial results and service quality.
  • Evaluate and resolve operational issues, keeping corporate informed.
  • Recommend and implement pricing changes approved by corporate, ensuring timely communication.
  • Oversee organizational development, including performance management, coaching, and employee development plans.
  • Manage employee evaluations, promotions, merit increases, and disciplinary actions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and legal requirements, including government reporting.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements

Successful candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Management, Business (MBA/MHA), or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Revenue Cycle Management, hospital revenue cycle leadership, clinical services, or healthcare operations management.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of revenue cycle and healthcare industries.
  • Deep understanding of billing, coding, claims processing, and payer contract analysis.
  • Experience in conducting audits, managing appeals, and using data analytics for process improvement.
  • Strategic thinking, relationship building, problem-solving, and change management skills.
  • Leadership in staff development, team building, negotiation, and effective communication.
