Role Overview:

This position owns the ERP solutions, one of PDI’s primary lines of business of over 40 years. Within the ERP suite of solutions includes retail chain convenience store back office/home office ERP products and wholesale ERP products Key areas of focus include full ownership and success of the global product P&L for the ERP solution category, global market share expansion in existing markets and market penetration into new areas, competitive assessments and strategies, , solution concept development and innovation, product lifecycle management (PLM) execution, global solution deployment and customer success. This position is responsible for long term strategic planning for market development and solution development of the solution category. This Vice President is also responsible for working closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Sales, Sales Enablement, Operations, Development, Support, Services, Finance, and Customer Success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for full product P&L ownership and market share expansion of the ERP Solutions business.
  • Establishes and maintains the vision for solutions commensurate with corporate growth/profit goals and market trends/demands.
  • Lead product strategy and roadmaps for the portfolio of ERP products and the future state of the business line.
  • Drive product integration and product rationalization strategies for acquired companies/products.
  • Routinely engages with customers to understand their businesses and provides solutions to address their current and anticipated future needs.
  • Demonstrates commitment to customer success.
  • Manages cross-functionally in a highly matrixed organizational environment.
  • Has responsibility for product and service strategy, benchmarking, partnerships, proposals, M&A activity, and R&D investments.
  • Works collaboratively with product management, sales, professional services, support, operations, engineering,
  • marketing and finance to drive solution strategy.
  • Alignment with Marketing on lead generation and pipeline building activities
  • Leads speaking engagements with media and industry related events
  • Customer engagement, escalations and disputes resolution
  • Manages the life cycle of key products or product sets.
  • Drives sales enablement.
  • Provides strategic direction and support to key partners.
  • Provides strategic direction on merger and acquisition activity to ensure a complement to existing products.
  • Adeptly manages through conflict situations within the business; maintaining key relationships while doing so.
  • Segments and sizes the market for various products across the industry category. Identifies key growth opportunities and deployment segments. Focuses on global deployment and market penetration.
  • Leads and delivers on market, wallet and mind share increases in line with targets.
  • Understands the key attributes of competitors in the retail convenience and wholesale energy supply chain vertical, i.e. understands their profit pools and approach to the market; identifies necessary improvements to be more competitive; provides our sales people the tools to beat the competition.
  • Leads the strategic long-range planning for the solution category.
  • Drives quantitative results (revenue, margin) and shared success for Logistics solutions globally.
  • Operates at a strategic level and manages at a detailed level.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree required
  • 10-12+ years hands-on experience in product/solutions management within the energy supply chain.
  • Strong track record of growing businesses by bringing new products to market and increasing market share.
  • Significant industry experience in convenience retail or fuel wholesale– Secondary Fuel Distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience in leading, growing, and managing a portfolio of products.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and growing directs as well as cross functional teams. Proven leadership experience.
  • Experience in people management commensurate with the role.
  • Product P&L experience.
  • Significant experience and desire to remain in a customer/market-facing role; experience building strong customer relationships.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and relate to all roles ranging from senior level executives to individual contributors, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to establish relationships with key customers and partners in the industry.
  • Solid marketing skills, including messaging, writing, and public speaking.
  • Ability to be creative, as well as analytical, organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and handle high pressure situations.
  • Ability to assert position and influence decision makers to execute solution strategy.
  • Adept at networking externally and internally to build relationships and influence actions.
  • Demonstrates break-through thinking.
  • Willingness to travel, significantly at times to customers, prospects, industry events, and internal meetings as required
