Regional Vice President, New Client Development

We are seeking a Regional Vice President, New Client Development to join our team in North Carolina. This remote role supports local financial advisory teams, focusing on acquiring new clients with investable assets over $500,000 via direct marketing channels. The ideal candidate is energetic, entrepreneurial, and experienced in wealth management, financial planning, and business development.

Primary Job Functions
  1. Develop
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure accurate presentation and tracking; maintain and update pitch decks and related materials.
  • Drive revenue by differentiating WEG’s offerings, acquiring new clients, increasing assets under management, and educating clients through presentations.
  • Utilize WEG’s planning structure to close mid- and high-net-worth cases.
  1. Support Financial Advisory Teams
  • Assist teams in growing local presence while maintaining client service and retention standards.
  • Proactively identify and qualify high-net-worth prospects through direct marketing channels.
  • Meet with prospective clients, understand their financial needs, and present WEG’s value proposition.
  • Support the creation, delivery, and management of complex financial plans and investment recommendations.
  • Ensure ongoing client service post-closure and transition.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years in business development/sales within investment management or financial advisory, with proven relationship management skills (experience with Schwab, Fidelity, or Scottrade preferred).
  • 4-year degree in business, finance, marketing, or related field.
  • Strong wealth management and financial advisory knowledge.
  • Successful track record of obtaining referrals and converting them into new business.
  • Excellent sales, consultative questioning, and solution-offering skills.
  • Strategic planning and selling experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% in the assigned market.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, listening, and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills in high-volume environments.
  • FINRA Series 65 or 66 required; CFP preferred.
