Job summary

Blue River PetCare is seeking a Regional Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across 15+ veterinary hospitals and support current clinics and future acquisitions. The role requires extensive travel and close collaboration with local practice managers, veterinarians, and corporate leadership.

The ideal candidate has veterinary management and multi-unit leadership experience, strong financial acumen, and a track record of improving profitability while maintaining high patient care

Qualifications

• Three years of veterinary management experience.
• Two years of multi-unit management experience.
• Experience managing profit and loss and delivering financial results.
• Ability to travel 75% via car/plane.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises operations of 15+ Blue River PetCare hospitals with goals of revenue and profit growth.
• Collaborates with local management and veterinarians to ensure high patient care standards.
• Acts as liaison between hospitals and Blue River management, reporting findings and recommendations.
• Provides staffing support in inventory, scheduling, compliance, training, recruiting, and retention.
• Ensures compliance with OSHA, DEA, AVMA and local regulations.
• Coaches managers on revenue, expenses, staffing, and inventory management.
• Fosters a positive, productive work environment at clinics.
• Partners with HR on employee relations and best practices.
• Supports capital expenditures and vendor considerations with corporate operations.
