Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health is seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician to support hospital locations around Detroit, MI. You will identify, manage, and perform preventive maintenance and repairs to facilities and equipment in a multi-clinic region.

The role requires coordinating with managers, coordinating travel within MVH guidelines, and ensuring timely completion of work orders while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years of experience in Construction or Maintenance.
• Knowledge of construction terms and blueprints.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, casework and general building construction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Manage in-house maintenance work orders and schedules.
• Coordinate painting, cabinetry, laminate and tile work.
• Source and manage painting contractors within region.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies; report damages.
• Travel as required; communicate updates to managers.
