• Drive profitable growth for Starr's Midwest region through disciplined underwriting and portfolio execution.
• Develop regional underwriting strategies with clear production, profitability, retention goals.
• Expand broker relationships to grow profitable new and renewal business.
• Lead underwriting excellence through risk selection, pricing discipline, and data-driven decisions.
• Coach and develop the underwriting team to build a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate across underwriting, distribution, risk control, claims, and ops for a differentiated experience.
• Monitor market trends and translate them into actionable underwriting strategies.
• Ensure governance and adherence to authorities, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Represent Starr in the Midwest, boosting visibility with brokers, clients, and partners.
