Job summary

CNA is seeking a VP, Regional Underwriting Manager to lead underwriting excellence for the Construction line in the Southeast. The role directs strategic and operational objectives, working within delegated authority to drive profitability and growth across the region.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will manage staff, develop talent, and partner with sales and production leaders to maximize opportunities with agents and brokers while upholding corporate underwriting standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with Master’s preferred in a related discipline, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 years related work experience, with seven years management experience.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own underwriting excellence and profitability for a multi-product Construction line in the Southeast.
• Direct strategy and operational objectives in line with long-term plans.
• Lead and manage staff with focus on talent development and succession planning.
• Partner with SVP/VP sales and production leaders to maximize growth with agents and brokers.
• Set underwriting thresholds and authority across the region.
