Job summary

Southern States Cooperative is seeking a proven sales professional to drive growth within our professional turf business. This role is responsible for developing and expanding relationships with golf courses, sports fields, municipalities, parks and recreation departments, educational institutions, landscape contractors, and other professional turf customers throughout the assigned territory.

The Regional Turf Account Manager serves as a trusted advisor to customers by providing agronomic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience, preferably in agronomy/turf or marketing.
• Good sales communication skills required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective problem solving, customer service and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Increase turf dollar volume and meet or exceed the assigned budget.
• Operate within budgeted expenses and gross margins.
• Identify, contact, and coordinate approval, set-up, and credit for new turf accounts.
• Service current and future turf accounts as assigned by the Manager of Turf.
• Communicate market prices, supply, and availability to Manager of Turf.
• May assist with sales and technical training.
• Maintain relationships within the industry.
• Work with accounts to keep credit within terms and address past due issues.
• Handle complaints and maintain records of all accounts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
