Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking a Regional Compliance Manager to lead transportation safety, regulatory compliance, accident prevention, and workplace safety across Southeast Florida operations, including West Palm Beach. The role requires hands-on leadership, field presence, and capability to translate complex regulations into practical actions for frontline teams.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of DOT/FMCSA, OSHA, and related standards, with experience in waste or heavy commercial

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting regulations, investigating incidents, identifying root causes, educating others, and influencing operational behavior.
• Relevant safety experience within waste management, environmental services, refuse hauling, trucking, or heavy commercial fleet preferred.
• Ability to translate complex safety and regulatory requirements into practical guidance for Supervisors, Managers and frontline employees.
• Strong project-management, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills across multiple safety initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety and compliance programs across multiple locations, field operations, yards, landfills and transfer stations.
• Lead regional fleet and driver safety initiatives; manage DOT compliance and drug/alcohol testing requirements.
• Investigate accidents and injuries; perform root-cause analysis and develop corrective actions.
• Train and coach supervisors and managers on safety expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Partner with HR, Fleet Maintenance and Corporate Safety to improve safety culture and outcomes.
