Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Regional Transportation Drainage Lead to guide transportation drainage efforts across the Rocky Mountain Region, including AZ, CO, ID, NM, and UT. You will direct staff, shape project delivery, and drive technical excellence in drainage design.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in transportation drainage, and the ability to manage design-build and other delivery methods, with travel across the region.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in engineering or related field with 10 years of experience and 2 years of leadership.
• Registered Professional Engineer in one of the Rocky Mountain States and ability to obtain other state registrations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate regional transportation drainage team across multiple states.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to drainage staff.
• Oversee design and analysis of drainage systems for highways and bridges.
• Manage budgets, schedules, staffing, and resources for project delivery.
• Coordinate workshare across offices to optimize resources.
• Ensure quality control for hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and design deliverables.
• Develop innovative, cost-effective drainage solutions.
