Job summary

Corrosion Materials – Houston Branch seeks a Regional Territory Manager to drive territory objectives in the Houston market with entrepreneurial drive and disciplined sales skills.

You will build a profitable customer base, manage leads, close orders, and collaborate with Inside Sales and Sales Manager to report weekly and monthly results while upholding safety and company policies. The role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who can multi-task and work independently.

Qualifications

  • Highschool diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid State Driver’s License and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Function as a self-motivated entrepreneur with limited day-to-day oversight.
  • Secure profitable business by delivering value exceeding the competition.
  • Compile leads, research, and solicit prospective customers.
  • Communicate across the territory to understand markets and opportunities.
  • Call on established and prospective customers and relay information.
  • Obtain orders and pursue contracts with existing and new customers.
  • Meet territory goals and grow the branch’s market share.
  • Inform customers of product capabilities and fit within buying patterns.
  • Collaborate with Inside Sales to maintain and grow accounts.
  • Develop relationships with purchasing contacts at accounts.
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports to Sales Manager.
  • Contribute to teamwork and continuous improvement; adhere to safety rules.

Education

Highschool diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related area

Summary of Position

TheRegional Territory Manager is responsible for the attainment of establishedterritory objectives and expectations through the successful implementation ofterritory management skill set and responsibilities at Corrosion Materials – Houston Branch.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a minimum, the followingis a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of theRegional Territory Manager. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject tochange as the needs of the organization require.

  • Functionwell as a self-motivated entrepreneur with little day to day management.
  • Secureprofitable business by creating greater customer value than the competition.
  • Compileleads, research, and solicit prospective customers.
  • Effectively communicate throughoutassigned territory to acquire complete knowledge of the available markets andopportunities available.
  • Call on established and prospectivecustomers, relaying information to and soliciting information from the samecustomers.
  • Obtain transactional orders, long-termand short-term contracts along with pursuing all opportunities from existingand prospect customers, including the follow up of existing quotations.
  • Work to meet the established goals ofassigned territory for both existing and targeted accounts as well as work togrow territory in accordance with the expected growth levels of the branch.
  • Inform customers of CMI, Inc. productcapabilities and discuss how they fit within the established buying patterns ofthe customers.
  • Work with Inside Sales Representativesto maintain and grow established account base and focus on targetaccounts.
  • Develop and maintain relationships withpurchasing contacts at all established and prospect accounts within assignedterritory.
  • Providecall reports and vendor reports to Sales Manager weekly, as well as a monthlysummary.
  • Contributeto a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Communicateeffectively with other Outside Sales Representatives, Inside Sales andmanagement.
  • Submitexpense reports and other departmental expenses to Sales Manager in a timelymanner for approval.
  • Adhereto all Company safety rules, regulations, quality standards, policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Highschool diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in sales
  • MicrosoftOffice proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • ValidState Driver’s License and Safe Driving Record
Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’sdegree with an emphasis on Business, Sales, Marketing or related area
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or marketing
  • Marketing experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities
