Qualifications

  • 7+ years of HVAC industry experience.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
  • Deep understanding of ductless mini-split systems.
  • Experience providing technical training, seminars, or demonstrations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel and engage with contractors and distributors.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hands-on technical training for HVAC contractors, technicians, and distributor partners.
  • Conduct training at distributor locations, training centers, contractor facilities, and trade events.
  • Provide training on installation, commissioning, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and maintenance.
  • Educate contractors on Cooper&Hunter ductless and ducted product lines.
  • Develop and deliver educational seminars, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
  • Host virtual training sessions and contribute to online technical education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Technical Support, Product, and Marketing to identify regional training needs.
  • Support distributor partners in developing stronger technical knowledge of Cooper&Hunter products.
  • Participate in short-form technical and educational video content.
  • Gather feedback to improve training programs, technical documentation, and products.
  • Represent Cooper&Hunter professionally at distributor events, trade shows, industry events, and contractor meetings.

To support this growth, Cooper&Hunter is expanding its U.S. technical training team and is seeking an experienced Regional Technical Trainer to provide hands-on product, installation, application, and troubleshooting training throughout the region.

Our ideal candidate is based in the Miami, Florida area, but we will also consider strong candidates located throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Position Overview

The Regional Technical Trainer will be responsible for educating HVAC contractors, technicians, distributor partners, and internal teams on Cooper&Hunter equipment and HVAC best practices.

This is a highly visible, field-based position for someone who combines strong HVAC technical knowledge with the ability to teach, present, and build relationships with contractors and distributors.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on HVAC experience, strong knowledge of ductless and ducted systems, and enjoys traveling throughout the region to work directly with HVAC professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver hands-on technical training for HVAC contractors, technicians, and distributor partners throughout the assigned region
  • Conduct training at distributor locations, training centers, contractor facilities, trade events.
  • Provide training oninstallation, commissioning, application, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service, and maintenance
  • Educate contractors on Cooper&Hunter ductless and ducted HVAC product lines
  • Conduct product introduction and new-product training as Cooper&Hunter expands its equipment portfolio
  • Develop and deliver educational seminars, technical presentations, and product demonstrations
  • Host virtual training sessions and contribute to online technical education initiatives
  • Work closely with Sales, Technical Support, Product, and Marketing teams to identify regional training needs
  • Support distributor partners in developing stronger technical knowledge of Cooper&Hunter products
  • Participate in short-form technical and educational video content
  • Gather feedback from contractors, technicians, and distributors to help improve training programs, technical documentation, and products
  • Represent Cooper&Hunter professionally at distributor events, trade shows, industry events, and contractor meetings
What We’re Looking For
  • 7+ years of HVAC industry experience
  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems
  • Deep understanding ofductless mini-split systems
  • Experience with ducted HVAC systems
  • Experience providing technical training, contractor education, seminars, or presentations
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to audiences with different experience levels
  • Strong communication and public speaking skills
  • Comfortable presenting to both small groups and larger audiences
  • Comfortable appearing on camera for technical training content
  • Strong relationship-building skills with contractors and distributor partners
  • Manufacturer or HVAC distribution experience is highly preferred
