Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is seeking a pharmacy technician to support new clinics and partners within Sutter Health's Engagement Center. The role includes onboarding Patient Engagement Specialists at assigned sites, coaching teams, and driving SOP/compliance adherence.

The candidate should have a nationally recognized CPhT and 1-2+ years in specialty pharmacy, prior authorization, or patient refill calls, with strong communication skills and proficiency in Excel and Word.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified pharmacy technician (CPhT, PTCB or ExCPT).
• 1-2+ years pharmacy technician experience in specialty pharmacy, prior authorization or patient refill calls.
• Strong phone and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide implementation and stabilization for new clinics and partners.
• Onboard and upskill Patient Engagement Specialists at assigned sites.
• Recommend workflow enhancements and oversee queue management.
• Provide coverage of clinics during staffing gaps.
• Monitor team output for accuracy and consistency, coaching as needed.
• Serve as subject matter expert on SOPs and compliance protocols.
