Job summary

Fortinet in Pittsburgh is seeking a Systems Engineer to partner with Regional Account Managers, supporting the sales team on technical matters across pre-sales, sales calls, and post-sales.

You will qualify leads from a technical standpoint, be the main resource on calls and explain features, specs and integration, and assist identified customers with post-sales training while coordinating with support and engineering.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of technical/pre-sales support in sales or systems engineering.
• 3-5 years of LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
• Understanding of DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP.
• Experience with routing, switching, VPN, network security and IDS/AV.
• Familiar with RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPsec, firewall and encryption.
• Excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
• Be the main technical resource on sales calls and educate the customer and partner on features, specifications and functionality to integration.
• Post-sales: lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues, working with support and engineering to resolve.
• Provide post-sales training to identified customers.
