Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Regional Manager – Substation to plan, monitor, and manage regional long-term strategic projects from pursuit through completion.

You will allocate resources, manage budgets, schedules, risks, and change, driving profitability across the region. This role provides regional leadership for operations, project teams, and field personnel while supporting business development, customer relationships, and strategic growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field and 10+ years of experience
• 10+ years in substation construction, EPC delivery, or power infrastructure operations
• Proven success managing large-scale projects, programs, and regional portfolios
• Strong understanding of substation construction means, methods, sequencing, risk management
• Financial acumen with forecast, budgets, and resource planning
• Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
• MS Office familiarity; project controls, job cost tracking, estimating software a plus
• Ability to develop teams, build customer relationships, support regional growth
• PMP, PE, or other advanced industry certificates preferred
• Willingness to travel within the region
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for substation EPC and construction projects, including greenfield, brownfield, BESS, and renewable energy
• Manage regional programs to meet safety, quality, schedule and financial goals
• Forecast and plan regional resource requirements based on workloads
• Visit project sites to support field operations and safety initiatives
• Directly manage projects and assume full PM responsibilities when needed
• Collaborate with GM and VP to grow the region's capabilities
• Resolve complex operational, project, and program challenges
• Review and approve reports for management, clients, and stakeholders
