Michels Power, Inc. is seeking a Regional Manager – Substation to lead regional substation EPC and construction projects across the territory. You will manage budgets, schedules, resources, and risk while driving profitability and client satisfaction.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 10+ years in substation construction or power infrastructure, with PMP/PE preferred and willingness to travel within the region. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in substation construction, EPC delivery, or power infrastructure operations.
• Proven success managing large-scale projects, programs, and regional portfolios.
• Strong understanding of substation construction means, methods, sequencing, and risk management.
• PMP, PE, or other advanced industry certifications preferred.
• Willingness to travel within the region.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for substation EPC and construction projects, including greenfield, brownfield, BESS, renewable energy, and industrial power facilities.
• Manage regional programs and project portfolios to achieve safety, quality, schedule, and financial objectives.
• Forecast and plan regional resource requirements based on current and projected workloads.
• Regularly visit project sites to support field operations, safety initiatives, and project execution.
• Directly manage projects and assume full project management responsibilities when necessary.
• Partner with the General Manager and Vice President to support the strategic development and growth of the region.
• Facilitate the resolution of complex operational, project, and program challenges.
• Review and approve reports prepared for management, clients, and key stakeholders.
• Directly manage regional personnel and carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, development, performance management, and employee engagement activities.
• Mentor, develop, and retain Project Managers, Superintendents, and emerging operational leaders.
