Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor is seeking a Director of Strategic Planning – Regional Network to lead the development and execution of regional strategy across UM Health-Sparrow and UM Health-West. You will guide senior leaders, build a centralized team of strategists, and align planning with clinical and operational goals.

The role emphasizes market analysis, partnerships, and governance coordination, with significant travel to affiliated campuses to drive growth and integration.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in strategy within a multi-facility health system.
• Ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-constituency organization.
• Strong understanding of the health care environment and trends.
• Deep understanding of the Lansing and Grand Rapids markets.
• Experience with Michigan CON regulations and requirements.
• Advanced written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Willingness to travel frequently across the medical campus and affiliated systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of short- and long-term regional strategic plans.
• Identify growth opportunities and capital deployment.
• Facilitate strategic planning with senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with regional leaders to drive clinical growth and back-office integration.
• Develop business plans, proformas, and feasibility studies to support growth.
• Prepare board materials and coordinate governance processes.
• Oversee CON-related activities and annual CON surveys.
• Supervise and recruit strategists as needed.
