Job summary

A. M. Castle & Co. is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to represent and sell stainless/aluminum flat roll, primarily slit coil and precision blanks, across a defined territory in the Chicagoland area.

The role focuses on growing the customer base, managing existing accounts, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure profitable growth, superior service and customer satisfaction. A company car allowance is provided as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience selling stainless/aluminum flat roll primarily slit coil and precision blanks.
• Two years of related sales experience with knowledge of business acumen sales techniques and marketing strategies.
• Strong customer service orientation with ability to initiate and sustain productive business relationships with customers.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with all levels in an organization and to make effective presentations to clients.
• Good problem-solving skills with ability to develop solutions to customer problems.
• Good organizational skills.
• PC literacy, proficiency in MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Territory Growth & Sustainment: Represents and sells stainless/aluminum flat roll within a sales territory and develops opportunities with existing and potential customers.
• Services existing accounts in coordination with Inside Sales, Purchasing, Operations and Quality departments.
• Sells products and solutions, makes presentations and proposals with accountability to profitability.
• Negotiates price, inventory commitments, and contract implementations in line with company policies.
• Monitor market trends and pricing dynamics to inform strategy and maintain competitive positioning.
