Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an experienced Specialty Sales Leader to promote Walgreens specialty pharmacy services to physicians and other referral sources within Oncology, Neurology, and Pulmonary markets. The role involves identifying growth opportunities in hospitals and health systems, addressing complex reimbursement, and leading regional initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least 7 years of pharmaceutical sales or healthcare sales experience
Experience with advance selling in complex markets and multi-site environments
Experience building strategic business plans to hit targets in multi-million dollar territories
Experience diagnosing complex issues and developing strategies to resolve problems
Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to reach company goals
Expert knowledge of complex disease states and payer/billing systems (Medicare B/D)
Experience analyzing sales data to identify trends and improve results
Ability to self-manage and escalate when needed
Excellent time management and ability to handle multiple projects

Responsibilities

Develops business plans to achieve quarterly sales goals across hospital systems and provider networks
Lead cross-functional teams to support regional initiatives
Speak at external meetings and promote Walgreens services to drive growth
Manage relationships with alliance partners to expand local business
Coach and mentor junior Account Managers and lead special projects
