Job summary

Iowa Ag is seeking a Regional Sow Manager to oversee all production and related activities at assigned sow facilities within the JBS Midwest Region System. The role reports to the Live Pork Sow Production Director and focuses on reducing costs, increasing throughput, and training staff in current SOPs and safety standards.

The position requires coordinating with the site Maintenance Manager, managing budgets, and ensuring data integrity and compliance with quality controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead operations at sow production facilities within the region.
• Reduce costs and increase throughput while managing budgets.
• Manage production budgets, expenses budgets, and capital spending budgets.
• Communicate production status to the Production Manager with written improvement plans.
• Ensure SOP adherence and train employees on processes and safety.
• Coordinate animal movements and supervise reports from direct reports.
• Support audits (safety, biosecurity, maintenance) and coordinate with Maintenance Manager.
• Maintain data integrity in production records and ensure product quality.
