Job summary

JBS Live Pork, LLC invites applications for a Field Manager covering Central and Eastern Iowa. The role leads a portfolio of 20–25 contract pork producers, guiding production improvements, managing relationships, and coordinating farm visits with the Business Manager. You will help with contract renewals and on-farm reporting.

The position requires a BS/BA in Agriculture or 5 years' equivalent pork production experience, strong communication, and travel up to 15%.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in Agriculture or 5 years' equivalent experience in pork production.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to travel occasionally (approx. 15%).
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of overall business strategy and operations.

Responsibilities

• Coach, train, and develop new farm managers.
• Ensure animal welfare and environmental compliance with practical solutions.
• Order medications/veterinary supplies as needed.
• Plan and implement bio-security measures and action plans.
• Help manage costs for feed, supplies and labor.
• Maintain accurate records and data integrity.
• Oversee special projects and drive operational improvements.
