Job summary

NextEra Energy Resources in Colorado is seeking an experienced operations leader to oversee the Central Region Solar & Energy Storage portfolio, spanning Colorado, Southwest Kansas, the Oklahoma Panhandle, and the Texas Panhandle. The role focuses on safety, reliability, and growth as the portfolio expands toward 5 GW by 2028.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of experience in operations.
• 5+ years of leadership experience required.
• Valid non-CDL driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional operations and maintenance for solar and energy storage sites.
• Ensure safe, compliant operation and injury-free workplace.
• Meet regional production, financial, reliability, and environmental targets.
• Coach and develop a high-performing regional team and succession plan.
• Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and corporate functions to achieve objectives.
• Manage regional operating and capital budgets and procurement.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and best practices.
• Support outage planning, major maintenance, and fleet growth initiatives.
• Travel 50–70% across the region.
