Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking a Director of Development to lead regional community solar, standalone energy storage, and distributed generation opportunities. You will manage a development team and collaborate cross-functionally to drive projects from initial site control through Notice to Proceed (NTP).

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in renewable energy project development, deep market insight, and a track record of delivering results in fast‑paced environments.

Qualifications

• Education: bachelor’s in a related field; master’s or PMP preferred.
• Experience: 10+ years in renewable energy project development or related management.
• Leadership: proven track record of direct team management and talent retention.
• Technical: deep knowledge of power markets, permitting, interconnection, and development life cycles.
• Financial: strong understanding of project finance, deal structuring, and revenue stacking.
• Soft skills: strong negotiation, presentation, strategic decision-making, and organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional strategy to grow the project pipeline.
• Manage, mentor, and build the capabilities of development managers and associates.
• Set and monitor stage-gate criteria for capital investments and risk.
