Georgia-Pacific is currently recruiting for a home-based Regional Reliability Engineer with a strong focus on Precision Maintenance and Training. The selected candidate will support locations across our Building Products network. We are seeking candidates with a long-term interest in advancing into key managerial roles within our organization.

The Regional Reliability Engineer will lead and support reliability initiatives within operations. This role requires providing technical expertise on equipment, improving maintenance and operating practices, and implementing technology solutions. The engineer will manage multiple reliability improvement projects, interfacing with all organizational levels within the facility and externally.

What You Will Do

• Apply and teach Reliability Centered Maintenance concepts, conducting training across the region and departments to enhance reliability knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of mechanical and electrical machinery, including conveyor systems, breakers, boilers, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Learn and utilize complex computer systems and applications.
• Communicate effectively, supporting teamwork and influencing others.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving teams.
• Create value, focus on results, and demonstrate decision-making and organizational skills.
• Engage in continuing education related to reliability practices and management.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations.
• Develop skills and knowledge within the Maintenance Department.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in equipment or manufacturing systems reliability.
• Experience leading improvements in Maintenance Reliability, Predictive and Preventive Maintenance, with routine use of Root Cause Analysis or similar tools.
• Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment, including noisy and unconditioned areas.
• Commitment to safety, including wearing PPE.
• Intermediate or higher proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Willing to travel up to 60%, including some travel to Canada.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
