Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead and grow the sales force within their geographic region, driving results and accelerating performance. You will recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing team, while analyzing market data to shape strategy and tactics.

Strong leadership, communication and a patient-focused approach are essential. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and substantial pharmaceutical sales experience, with frontline sales management preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience (or equivalent HQ experience) required.
  • 2 years front-line pharmaceutical sales management strongly preferred.
  • Record of achieving goals and coaching/developing teams required.

Regional Sales Managers are responsible for driving business results in their geography. They inspire a team of Sales Specialists and are accountable for both their performance and development.

How You'll Spend Your Day (Essential Responsibilities)
  • Lead team and take accountability for delivering results within their region and accelerate sales performance within their assigned market
  • Identify, recruit, and retain top talent for their sales team
  • Coach and develop team (selling skills, business/territory acumen, planning & analysis, account management) and instill continuous improvement
  • Hold self and team accountable for performance and behaviors
  • Gather/analyze market, region, competitive, and performance trend data to inform planning, strategy, tactics, and team development
  • Build, maintain, and utilize in-depth knowledge of regional business challenges and opportunities

  • Reinforce patient focus to drive engagement and commitment
  • Translate organizational commercial strategy into clear tactics and goals

Your Skills And Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience (or equivalent HQ experience) required
  • 2 years front-line pharmaceutical sales management strongly preferred

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities (Required/Preferred)
  • Customer interaction live/virtual; technology proficiency
  • Understanding reimbursement coverage/pull-through; experience in CMHC, specialty pharmacy, private practice
  • Proven written/verbal communication; leadership/interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of reimbursement/managed care/marketing preferred; new product launch preferred
  • Broad therapeutic area experience preferred
  • Valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record required
