Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with key purchasing, sales, service and ownership personnel at all Aftermarket Customers, Distributors, Dealers and Fleets. The primary goal of the position is to grow ConMet's sales and profitability to meet target growth levels. This role is responsible for the development and successful execution of our regional distribution and sales growth strategy. An additional area of responsibility includes providing feedback to the ConMet organization regarding our competitive position in price, product features and benefits, and customer support elements.

The Regional Sales Manager is a home-based position in the Mid-Atlantic Region of the U.S. and requires significant travel in this assigned geographic area. This role has no direct reports.

Key Duties
  • Maintain and foster relationships at all levels of the customer organization as well as all levels and disciplines of ConMet.
  • Achieve annual revenue and earnings objectives for ConMet Aftermarket, Trailer Equipment Spec Pull-Through, and Digital Sales in assigned region.
  • Identify new customer and distribution opportunities and sell the ConMet value proposition in a highly competitive market.
  • Frequent travel in the designated region and across North America will be required to achieve the regional sales objectives and support industry events.
  • Maintain contact with ConMet customer service, engineering, field service, and plant locations and become the primary liaison between ConMet and its customers.
  • Develop and maintain direct relationships with key customers, industry participants and influencing organizations to maximize the value of the ConMet brand.
  • Assist the Director of Field Sales with forecasting to ensure proper new product launch, achieve on time delivery and inventory levels in support of the sales plan.
  • Secure and communicate competitive information on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • Minimum five (5) + years of sales experience in the commercial vehicle market (i.e., Class 8 trucking) required.
  • A degree of technical aptitude, including working knowledge of the commercial vehicle market required.

Compensation and Benefits
  • New hires generally start between $84,326 - $120,466. The full salary range for the position, across all geographies, is $84,326 - $144,559 per year.
  • Targeted annual bonus is based on company performance to objectives during the fiscal plan year which runs from October 1 – September 30.
  • Comprehensive employee benefits package, including medical/dental/vision coverage, life and disability protection.
  • Vacation plan – ConMet offers exempt employees a paid vacation benefit that provides flexibility to take time off based on factors including good discretion, sound performance, and consideration of overall team and business needs.
  • Paid sick leave up to 10 days (80 hours) per calendar year.
  • ConMet offers an extremely strong retirement package:
    • ESOP - Participation (100% company paid) in the ConMet/Amsted Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP). The Company contributes 10% of considered compensation into this plan each fiscal year.
    • 401k - The Company provides a 401(k) Plan with a 4% employer contribution match.
  • Ten paid holidays per year.
