EV.Careers is currently seeking a full-time Regional Sales Manager for a leader in the electric vehicle charging infrastructure industry. The role involves identifying EV infrastructure opportunities, engaging with decision makers, preparing presentations and proposals, and closing sales primarily within California, with occasional travel to Arizona and Nevada.
Responsibilities
- Develop and build relationships across assigned industry verticals and accounts
- Identify customer pain points and present value propositions to address their needs
- Respond to RFPs and influence the bidding process
- Identify potential markets for expansion
- Provide weekly sales forecast reports
- Maintain customer updates and communication
- Enter data into Salesforce CRM platform
- Attend and potentially speak at conferences and expos
- Close infrastructure projects and execute Master Services Agreements, preferably with Fortune 500 clients and large fleet operators
- Read blueprints and plans to assist in negotiations and deal closures
- Proactively hunt for sales opportunities and cold call prospective clients
- Present to executive stakeholders (CEO, CFO, Project Managers, VP of Operations) to close deals
- Pitch to internal engineering teams and negotiate effectively
- Onboard clients post-sale, maintain ongoing relationships, and participate in program management
- Assist colleagues in closing deals
Requirements
- 5-7 years' experience in fleet, energy, renewables, EV, or related fields such as solar or BESS, preferably in sales
- Understanding of construction and electrical systems
- Excellent project management skills for handling multiple projects
- General technological knowledge in hardware, software, vehicles, power generation, and charging
- Exceptional communication skills (oral, presentation, written)
- Strong analytical and modeling abilities
- Proven cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to engage confidently with senior influencers and build relationships
- Persuasive with a results-oriented approach
- Ability to work under pressure with meticulous attention to detail
- Self-motivated with minimal need for in-office presence
- Willingness to travel 25%-50% across California, with occasional trips to Arizona and Nevada
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM
- Goal-oriented mindset
- Experience in cold calling
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in EV charging infrastructure
- Experience in solar, BESS, or other renewable energy sectors
- Master's degree in Business, Energy, Economics, or related fields, or relevant consulting experience
