Pure Treats Primal Pet Foods, Inc. is seeking a Regional Sales Leader to coach 4-6 Territory Representatives and drive regional growth across partner accounts. You will oversee coaching, performance reviews, and field visits to maximize territory performance and brand presence.

Responsibilities include developing sales plans, onboarding new retailers, merchandising, and delivering nutrition and sales training. Travel up to 50% and weekend work are required to support customer partnerships.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of outside sales experience, preferably in natural foods or pet industries.
• Proven success growing territories and building customer relationships.
• Experience partnering with distributors and managing key accounts.

Regional Sales Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and develop 4-6 Territory Representatives to achieve regional sales and growth objectives.
• Conduct regular coaching sessions, performance reviews, and field visits.
• Monitor sales performance, territory coverage, and goal attainment.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.

Territory Growth & Customer Development

• Develop and execute sales plans that drive revenue growth, profitability, and brand awareness.
• Identify, develop, and onboard new retail partners.
• Ensure effective product merchandising, promotional execution, and brand visibility.
• Deliver product, nutrition, and sales training through in-person and virtual engagements.
• Support retailer recommendations through product education and training.
• Resolve customer concerns and strengthen long-term business partnerships.

Key Accounts, Distributor Partnerships & Market Insights

• Manage or support regional key account relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Participate in account planning, presentations, and business reviews.
• Partner with distributor leadership to align strategies, training, and retailer support initiatives.
• Provide recommendations to enhance sales effectiveness, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
• Support industry trade shows, National Sales Meetings, and company initiatives.

5-7 years of outside sales experience, preferably within the natural foods, pet food, or pet specialty industries.

• Demonstrated success growing territories, opening new accounts, and building customer relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.

• Previous Territory Sales management experience.
• Previous experience in pet food and treats.
• Knowledge of the pet food industry, retail landscape, and competitive environment.
• Experience working with distributors and key accounts.
• Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight and air travel.
• Ability to work some weekends and nontraditional business hours.
