JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for executing the company’s sales strategy in Texas and the Southwest region, including Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, and Colorado. The expectations of this role are to immediately increase market share within the given region by selling systems that are within DeSHAZO Crane’s core competency to prospective customers, as well as being the communication conduit for the DeSHAZO team throughout an order’s life cycle.

Daily travel is required in the regional territory, with an anticipated weekly ratio of 70%/30%, Travel/Office. This position could be based out of one of our service division offices in Texas but remote work is considered acceptable.

This position pays a base salary plus commission structure and includes company phone, computer, and vehicle with fuel card.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Proactively engage customers in Texas and the Southwest region to increase sales.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in industrial, manufacturing, and automation sectors.
  • Communicate with customers via all available means of interaction.
  • Manage pre- and post-sale communications and project schedules.
  • Work with the Estimation and Operations team to generate quotes for submission to customers.
  • Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotes, lead times, and order status.
  • Utilize ERP and accounting systems to track and maintain quotes and sales.
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets in the Southwest region.
  • Represent DeSHAZO at industry trade shows and networking events in the region.
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial material handling sales. Overhead crane industry experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Technical field preferred or combination of education, training & experience a plus.

  • Ability to exercise good judgment / decision making
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook & Project
  • Proficiency working within an ERP environment such as Sage, SAP, Oracle, or Epicor

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand/walk/travel and visit a variety of manufacturing environments
  • Lift /Carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Squat, twist, reach, climb, and bend frequently.
  • Ability to utilize/ride in a lift to measure various overhead crane parts.
  • Must be able to work occasionally from up to 35 feet in the air.
  • Possess depth perception and peripheral vision.
  • Possess the ability to hear.
  • Exposure to hot and cold conditions at times.
