Job summary

Mutual of America Financial Group is seeking a Regional Sales Director for retirement plan sales, primarily covering the Southern NJ, Pennsylvania, Maryland, or DC region. You will develop and manage a large territory, meeting Plan Sponsors of retirement plans and cross-selling solutions to exceed goals.

Base salary ranges from $90,000 to $130,000 with quarterly uncapped commissions and comprehensive benefits; travel to client locations is expected as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outside B2B sales experience.
• Knowledge of retirement products (401k and 403b).
• Driven to make outbound cold calls into prospective clients.
• Demonstrated cold calling sales ability.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
• Strategic thinker who can work independently.
• Strong relationship management building skills.
• Active FINRA Series 6, 63, and SIE.
• Driving is an essential function with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a large territory, uncovering new sources of business.
• Meeting with Plan Sponsors of 401k and 403b retirement plans through multiple strategies, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
• Work within a geographic territory to cultivate new prospects, cross-sell solutions, reach and exceed goals by closing deals.
• Attend client review meetings with Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) for the top five to ten clients in the RSD territory to position the RSD to ask clients for introductions and to be a reference for sales opportunities.
