My client, a global commercial Biotech, are looking for a Regional Sales Director (RSD) to join their team. The RSD will be responsible for leading a high-performing sales team in the Metro New York region, driving the commercial strategy, execution, and performance for my clients portfolio of products. This individual will ensure the achievement of sales goals while maintaining compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Territory Managers to meet or exceed regional sales objectives
• Create and implement effective regional business plans aligned with national strategy and brand goals
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, market access, medical affairs, and commercial operations to optimize territory and regional performance
• Monitor and analyze regional sales performance metrics; identify opportunities and implement corrective action plans when needed
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, healthcare providers, institutions, and other stakeholders within the region
• Ensure appropriate training, motivation, and professional development of team members
• Maintain high levels of compliance with company policies, industry guidelines, and federal and state laws

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MS, etc.) preferred
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, with at least 3 years in a regional or district leadership role
• Experience in specialty markets, particularly rare disease & cardiology
• Demonstrated success in launching and growing products in competitive markets
• Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and talent development capabilities
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data and market insights
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to the Metro New York area

Travel:

Up to 60–70% within the assigned region, including field visits, team meetings, and company events.
