Flow Control Group is seeking a Sales Applications Engineer to manage and grow a pre-established Northern Illinois territory, with substantial field time in front of customers and prospects to identify opportunities and tailor product solutions.

You will play a key role in attracting new customers, increasing spend from existing accounts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value. Some travel and irregular hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, sensors, safety systems, and machine vision is preferred.
• Experience in automation/manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Sales and strong communication skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Customer-facing role to strategize and win orders.
• Present solutions to key decision makers.
• Schedule appointments and deliver client presentations with Team support.
• Maintain relationships and ensure customer loyalty.
• Collaborate with other departments to implement strategies for success.
• Analyze technical challenges and propose implemented solutions.
• Develop working knowledge of Flow Control Group products.
