Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Region Trainer to build a culture of safety excellence across multiple sites. You will train new hires, ensure CMV drivers operate in compliance, and align teams with OSHA, DOT and FMCSA regulations to reduce incidents and improve efficiency.

You will partner with safety SMEs, develop targeted programs, and maintain rigorous training documentation while guiding daily toolbox talks and field coaching.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering safety training to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations as they apply to waste hauling.
• Ability to read, interpret safety rules and convey them clearly.
• Experience documenting trainings and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Lead new hire safety orientation sessions with a safety-first mindset.
• Deliver CMV driver training including pre-trip inspections and safe driving practices.
• Conduct OSHA/DOT/FMCSA compliance training for operations roles.
• Develop and manage HE and Certified PIT training programs with SMEs.
• Maintain training documentation, attendance, certifications, and audit-ready reports.
• Coach employees through field observations and on-the-job trainings.
• Identify training needs with operations leaders and address trends and issues.
• Assist with incident investigations by providing training insights.
