Job summary

Irvine Company is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety programs across the assigned region in California. The role involves partnering with engineering, maintenance and on-site operations to identify hazards and proactively mitigate risks.

The ideal candidate will hold ASP and/or CSP certifications, possess strong knowledge of OSHA/NFPA/EHS standards, a Bachelor’s degree, and 5+ years of relevant experience. A CA driver’s license is required and a comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• ASP and/or CSP certification required or preferred.
• Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards including OSHA, NFPA, and related rules.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety programs across the assigned region and advance associate safety and training.
• Monitor training compliance and ensure all safety training occurs; manage follow ups as needed.
• Develop proactive processes, procedures, systems, tools and metrics to drive continuous improvement and prevent future injuries.
• Lead development of risk mitigation tools (e.g., JSA, safe operating procedures, accident prevention plans) and coordinate safety meetings.
• Conduct on-site accident investigations and inspections; provide analysis for corrective actions.
• Perform site safety walks and identify hazards and non-compliant conditions across locations.
• Meet with site teams to discuss safety concerns and opportunities to reduce risk.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Capital Projects and Development design teams to resolve hazards.
• Provide associate safety support and stay current with OSHA/EHS regulations and best practices.
• Support Fire and Life Safety Systems inspection processes and provide guidance to site teams.
