Job summary

Irvine Company is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety programs and foster a culture of safety across its California properties. You will work with engineering, maintenance and operations teams to identify hazards and implement proactive solutions.

Requirements include ASP and/or CSP, a Bachelor's degree, and 5+ years in safety management. The role emphasizes training, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety management experience in a corporate or real estate environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, CAL/OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Strong ability to develop and implement safety programs and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety programs and culture across assigned region.
• Monitor training compliance and ensure safety training occurs.
• Develop tools and metrics to drive continuous safety improvements.
• Lead risk mitigation efforts including accident prevention plans and JSA.
• Conduct on-site safety investigations and inspections; provide corrective actions.
• Perform site safety walks and report hazards; engage site teams on safety concerns.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Capital Projects and Development teams.
• Provide safety expertise and stay current with safety regulations and best practices.
• Support Fire and Life Safety System inspections and guidance to site teams.
