Job summary

Irvine Company is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee comprehensive safety programs across the California region. This role collaborates with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to proactively identify hazards and mitigate risks, while ensuring training compliance and incident prevention.

The ideal candidate holds ASP or CSP credentials and a Bachelor's degree, with 5+ years of experience in safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Valid California driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety programs across assigned region.
• Monitor training compliance and ensure safety training occurs.
• Develop processes, tools and metrics to drive continuous safety improvements.
• Lead development of risk mitigation tools and SOPs.
• Conduct on-site accident investigations and safety inspections.
• Perform safety walks and identify hazards in all locations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Capital Projects and Development teams to resolve hazards.
• Provide safety guidance and stay current with OSHA and NFPA standards.
