Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety initiatives and training across our Massachusetts and New Hampshire footprint. You will support regional sites, conduct audits, and drive program improvements to reduce risk.

The role requires 5–7 years of safety management experience with OSHA/FMCSA emphasis, a valid license, and willingness to travel regionally and nationally as needed. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and 5–7 years of safety management experience focusing on OSHA/FMCSA regulations.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and ability to travel regionally/nationally.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing and perform physical tasks (lift 50–75 lbs) under varied weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as safety resource for local, regional, and corporate teams.
• Perform internal inspections, audits, and report results to management.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training for Casella personnel at all levels.
