Job summary

QUIKRETE is seeking a Safety Manager to lead site health and safety programs, ensuring MSHA/OSHA compliance and engaging leadership across manufacturing, logistics, and quality teams. You will conduct audits, investigations, and training to promote a proactive safety culture and strong regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred but not required.
• Progressive safety experience in heavy industrial environments (manufacturing, mining, aggregates, construction materials, logistics).
• Strong knowledge of safety principles, regulatory compliance, hazard identification, and incident investigations.
• Experience with MSHA, OSHA, DOT, and related regulations; able to obtain required certifications.
• Ability to lead, coach, and collaborate across departments; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads development and continuous improvement of site safety and health programs aligned with MSHA regulations.
• Provides visible safety leadership, coaching, and mentorship to employees and contractors.
• Conducts safety meetings, audits, inspections, and risk assessments with corrective actions.
• Partners with site and corporate leadership during audits and regulatory inspections; maintains records.
• Serves as primary site resource for injury reporting, investigation, case management, and first aid coordination.
• Oversees reporting of incidents in SMS and manages workers’ compensation claims.
• Develops site emergency plans, SOPs, and safety programs including contractor safety management.
• Leads safety training and education, analyzes metrics, and implements improvements.
• Communicates performance and recommendations to site leadership and safety teams.
• Collaborates with Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, and other functions to implement safe, practical solutions.
