Job summary

You will supervise safety staff, train managers and workers, inspect sites for hazards, and prepare regular safety reports for senior leadership. A bachelor's degree in construction or related field plus OSHA 30 training are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering or related degree, or equivalent work experience.
• 10-20 years of general construction experience.
• OSHA 30 hour training required.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA rules and regulations.
• Monitor effectiveness of the safety management system and progress against safety standards.
• Lead and provide functional management for safety personnel.
• Plan and implement programs to train managers and employees in site safety practices, fire prevention, and chemical handling.
• Inspect facilities to detect hazards, determine corrective measures and ensure implementation.
• Ensure prompt alerting of significant accidents and investigations; report findings.
• Compile and submit accident reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Produce safety management reports monthly, quarterly and annually.
• Review reports to identify trends and ensure preventive actions.
