Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Safety Manager. In this role, you will support project staff in executing safety standards and procedures, conduct safety inspections, and facilitate safety training for project employees. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of safety experience, be OSHA 30-hour certified, and possess strong management and communication skills. This position requires frequent travel to various project sites and comprehensive involvement in safety program development.

Qualifications

• Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.
• At least 3 years of safety experience or a combination of education and multiple years of experience in building construction.
• Working knowledge of safety/environment principles and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of the project safety program.
• Conduct jobsite orientation for new project employees.
• Attend all initial meetings with project staff and subcontractors.
• Conduct and document pre-planning safety meetings with subcontractors.
• Establish and conduct regular safety meetings with subcontractor representatives.
• Facilitate training for site personnel in compliance with standards.
• Conduct regular daily and weekly jobsite inspections.
