Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Louisville, KY is seeking a Region Trainer to build a culture of safety across multiple sites. You’ll equip new hires with knowledge to work safely from day one and ensure our CMV drivers operate with skill and regulatory compliance.

Your work will support OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA requirements, develop and manage training programs, maintain accurate records, and lead safety talks and field coaching to reduce incidents and improve operational safety.

Formación

• Waste industry knowledge is a plus.
• Understanding of DOT and OSHA requirements is required.
• 5+ years keeping detailed records in a safety environment.
• 5+ years reading and interpreting federal, state and local safety regulations.
• Previous experience conducting instructor-led or practical training preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Lead new hire safety orientation sessions that set a safety-first tone from day one.
• Deliver CMV driver training, including pre-trip inspections and safe operating practices.
• Conduct OSHA, DOT, and FMCSA compliance training for operational roles.
• Develop and manage qualified HE and Certified PIT training programs with subject matter experts.
• Maintain accurate training documentation and compliance reports for audits.
• Develop and maintain processes to measure training competencies through knowledge checks.
• Facilitate daily toolbox talks and safety huddles with actionable messaging.
• Perform field observations and ride-alongs to coach employees in real-world scenarios.
• Identify training needs with operations leaders and address safety trends or recurring issues.
• Support incident investigations with training-related insights and corrective actions.
• Assist with site health & safety inspections/audits for compliance verification.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
