This role drives compliance with OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations and oversees safety programs in the waste management and transportation sectors. With 7+ years of safety leadership experience required, candidates must be prepared to handle audits, training, and safety documentation, along with a commitment to ongoing regulatory compliance. Qualifications
7+ years of safety experience, including leadership.
Background in waste management, transportation, or industrial operations.
Strong regulatory knowledge and multi-site safety program experience.
Ability to travel regionally (approx. 50%).
Responsibilities
Strengthen compliance across OSHA, DOT, EPA, and state regulations.
Conduct facility and field safety audits, investigations, and root-cause analysis.
Drive continuous improvement and safety training for drivers and site personnel.
Manage driver qualification files, reporting, and safety documentation.
Partner with operations leadership to shape KPIs and elevate safety performance.
Support emergency preparedness and environmental compliance initiatives.
