Job summary

SET Environmental is seeking a Safety Manager to champion workplace safety and regulatory compliance. This role will develop, implement, and oversee health and safety programs across Chicago area managed locations to mitigate risk and protect employees and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will lead safety inspections, deliver engaging training, and drive a proactive safety culture with strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health, Safety, Hazardous Materials Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in the hazardous materials or industrial safety sector.

Responsibilities

• Design, update, and implement comprehensive safety policies and programs.
• Lead safety inspections and audits to minimize incidents.
• Develop and deliver safety orientations and training for staff.
• Investigate all accidents and incidents and translate findings into preventive actions.
• Track safety metrics and drive a culture of proactive safety.
