Job summary

hth companies is seeking a Traveling Safety Manager based in the Midwest to oversee safety compliance across sites. The role requires conducting audits, delivering training, and ensuring adherence to OSHA, MSHA, and DOT regulations while supporting profitability and productivity goals.

The position involves significant travel and field work. Responsibilities include coordinating safety programs, preparing reports, and leading safety meetings with site teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with OSHA regulatory requirements and training related to construction and industrial operations.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a direct Safety role.
• Experience in writing reports and business correspondence, and presenting information to senior management, site supervision, clients, and employees.
• Experience in industrial settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advise Corporate Office on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
• Assist Corporate Safety and Site Superintendent in compliance and training of safety policies and procedures (OSHA, MSHA, DOT).
• Travel to various locations as needed.
• Plan training with Site Supervision.
• Conduct employee safety training including new hire orientations.
• Verify Job Hazard Analyses and permits are completed and hazards mitigated.
• Hold daily safety meetings and maintain weekly summary logs.
