Job summary

Airgas in Daytona Beach, FL seeks an Area Safety Manager to implement and coordinate safety and compliance initiatives across multiple sites. You will drive safe work practices, coach for injury reduction, and maintain alignment with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and FDA standards.

The role involves auditing, training scheduling, and collaborating with facilities and auditors to ensure proper documentation and training across locations. A strong communicator with travel flexibility is essential.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to travel up to 65% of the time.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Three years of experience in the industrial gas or related industry.
• Seven+ years of experience in PRM.
• Working knowledge of Google Workspace.
• Clear and effective spoken and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing safety and compliance initiatives with federal, state, and local agencies.
• Promote safe work behaviors and coach for injury and vehicle accident reduction.
• Plan and support safety programs to advance compliance.
• Liaise between facilities and auditors.
• Interpret safety policies and standards to provide direction.
• Maintain DOT, OSHA, EPA, and FDA regulatory alignment.
• Conduct audits and prepare corrective actions.
• Schedule and organize area driver trainer trainings.
• Plan IH, ergonomic, and risk assessment surveys.
• Ensure training is performed at all locations.
• Support month-end safety meetings and data presentations.
